Instant favourite. This is such a gaudy peacock's spread of colour and shape. I look at the figure closely and I'm pretty sure it's actually a man. In this way, the ornament bordering on camp that comprises the scene is perfect: the figure is performing on a number of levels. I like the Victorian aesthetic here, too, that is, the fusion of the oriental and the gothic. You used pieces of paper or fabric, right? That's awesome. I mean, besides what I said above, it's just beautiful. How big is it?

First prize.

Wow, what an amazing comment! You seem to completly understand the feel I was going for. And I think you're right about it being a man . I adore Victorian and oriental fashion :). I used kimono patterned origami paper behind the cut out sections. It was fiddley but really fun and I want to use that technique more often. The back sheet of paper is A3 cut to a square.
Thank you for the wonderful comment :D

You giant! You immensity! You have thighs like young oaks! They creak in the wind.
The beauty of your countenance dazzles the unwary! Small buzzing creatures are drawn to the light in your eyes.

Thank you!! ^^ The great thing about using paper like this is that I could cut out the section where I wanted it to go and then try putting different patterns and colours behind until I found the one that balanced with the picture best. :)
